Once upon a time in a kingdom called Thrace, there lived a king and a queen who gave life to a son and a daughter. Thrace was a magnificent place. The land had mountains that were full of dark and mysterious caves, vast flourishing woods, and grassy plains. Everyone loved the King Stephen, Queen Cassandra, and their children Brianna and Tarek. Stephen had inherited the thrown at a young age and had to rely on the kingdom's wizard, Pete for help. As the years passed Stephen took on more of his responsibilities relying less and less on Pete to make his decisions. A few years after Tarek and Brianna were born strange things started to happen.

It is time to hide they are coming. We can only hope they don't find us. If they were to they would kill us for sure. Where should we hide? We are almost out of time. Under the bed and in the closet is all that is left. It is late now they are almost here. The bed is closer so that is where I will go. As they open the door I hold my breath. . . They found us. They found me. My life is coming to an end. I tell myself that it is better this way. I won't see what will happen to my kind. I will suffer less pain this way.
